Bookish gifts for Christmas 2024

by | Nov 19, 2024 | Behind The Scenes | 0 comments

Hello Lovelies,

Are you looking forward to Christmas? I know I am! Presents, family fun, and amazing food. What could be better? This year my parents are hosting Christmas and my sister and her family are joining us! Last year we all ended up with a stomach bug that had us throwing up for days, so here’s to this year being better (fingers crossed 🤞🏻).

I have put a list of bookish gifts together for you below and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you! Now, does this have to only be for Christmas gifts? Heck no! Most of these you can definitely put on your birthday wish list and for any other gifting occasion. Mother’s day? Valentine? Graduation? Any occasion for gift giving, really! So keep on reading if you’re in need of some bookish gift inspiration!

Who doesn’t use bookmarks?

The first gift idea that comes to mind is bookmarks. They keep you worry-free about where in your book you’re at when you have to put it down and they can look pretty or make you laugh? That’s a win-win in my book!

Here are some of the bookmarks I’ve gotten for my bestie:

Yes, I’m very easily amused!

Another form of bookmark is these adorable corner-cover bookmarks. Aren’t they just the cutest? If you know how to sew, you can even make some yourself!

I love to have bookmarks that aren’t just boring and plain and I am a certified cat lady so these bookmarks were a must-buy for me! Will I have more on my wishlist? Uuhh.. noooo, not at all (one can never have to many bookmarks!).

Dress like the book girl you are

Second on my list are clothes with either quotes from a favorite book or general reader quotes just like these. Make sure to check out your or your giftee’s favorite authors’ websites as many of them sell merch (shirts, mugs, totebags, and so on) with quotes and other fun stuff from their books. It’s always a great bonus to be able to support your favorite author on top of getting cool merch!

These are the book-related T-shirts I have though there are more on my wishlist!

Book Sleeves and covers!

Third on my list are book sleeves/covers. Don’t want people to see the absolute smut you’re reading? Or maybe you just want to make sure your book is safe on your travels? Then book sleeves are for you!

You can also get book covers for your e-reader and if you’re crafty or know how to sew, you can even make some yourself and who doesn’t love a handmade gift? You may not know this about me, but I like to sew! I’ve sewn a few dresses and skirts along with a small backpack for my three-year-old niece and a computer bag for my bestie aka my PA so she wouldn’t have to haul her computer to my place in her backpack every week.

The reason I’m telling you this is because there are plenty of patterns and tutorials for how to sew a book sleeve! This is one way to really personalize a bookish gift if you know how to sew or if you want to learn.

Or do you want a tutorial on how to sew a kindle cover?

Book stickers

Another thing book girlies are a big fan of is stickers! They’re so much fun! You can put them on your kindle or laptop and many other places. You can even get some that can go on your car bumper. If your book gal or guy is into specific books, getting them stickers connected to those books is sure to be a hit. I know I certainly have several on my wishlist!

Here are some of the ones I already have:

Christmas ornaments

If your giftee puts up a Christmas tree this time of year, I’m sure they would love some bookish ornaments! I recently got these two and they’re just the cutest!

You can get a whole bunch of them on Amazon here and you can even get some that are like heart-shaped bookshelves. I absolutely adore these ornaments and I might end up buying some more before I go out and get a tree for christmas.

Two book themed Christmas ornaments for hanging with golden threads.

Muuuuugs!

It’s hot chocolate and tea season! Mugs are definitely on my list! Both the cute and cozy ones as well as the bookish ones. What’s better than snuggling up with your book with hot chocolate in a mug with your favorite book quote on it?

I bought these mug a month ago while I was doing some research for this blog post. I just couldn’t help myself! If you want mugs with spicy reader quotes like mine, you can find them here.

Bookify them waLls!

If you don’t already have your walls filled with prints you should definitely think about putting some bookish prints on your wishlist this Christmas! These are the classy kind that look amazing! You can also gift them to someone who loves reading and books.

I got these prints a few weeks ago, and they look so good! I love their old-school look so much. If I didn’t already have them, they would definitely be on my wish list!

Books? Books!

The last thing on the list is the ultimate bookish gift. You guessed it, it’s books! Who doesn’t love getting books gifted to them? All my books are available in paperback in the shop. You can check them out here!

Here are a few paperbacks and hardbacks that are on my wish list:

  • The Cut & Run series by Abigail Roux
  • The CU Hockey series by Saxon James and Eden Finley
  • The newest books in the Hollows series by Kim Harrison

Which paperbacks and hardbacks are on your wishlist? Tell me about them in the comments below!

All of the products in this blog post are available on Amazon and the reason I’ve chosen to share those products is that most people have access to Amazon. Being an Amazon associate had no bearing on this decision. I do also want to give a shoutout to some other businesses that might ship to your country. Please note that buying from any place I link to is done at your discretion. Please ensure that you check shipping/return policies as well as customs and import tax responsibilities.
