Zero
Jack’s release from prison is bittersweet. He’s done his time, but making up for the mistakes that landed him behind bars won’t be easy. He may be free, but earning back his place in the Salvation Kings―and in King’s good graces―won’t be easy. Then there’s Zero, his self-appointed knight in shining armor, always rushing to his defense. Jack doesn’t know much about Zero except that he drives him crazy―for more than one reason.
Elías ‘Zero’ Rivera knows what it’s like to be broken, bruised, and desperate for a second chance. Jack makes it painfully clear he doesn’t want his help, but Zero can’t stay away. He sees the man beneath the tough exterior, and he’s completely captivated even when Jack refuses to let him in. When Jack finally looks at him in a way no one else has, Zero struggles to believe it’s real because who could love someone as broken as him?
Old mistakes come back to haunt Jack, and he’s faced with an impossible choice: protect Zero or lose himself all over again. The clock is ticking, and this time, prison is the least of his worries.
