Interview with Saint & Joker

Ana: Hello lovelies! Thank you for joining us today! I’ve asked my readers on Instagram to submit questions they’d like to ask Saint and Joker. I have lured the guys in here today with promises of beer and great fun! Let’s get started. *Waves at Saint and Joker* Hi guys!

Saint: Hi, thanks for having us.

Joker: *Nods* Thanks for the beer.

Ana: Thanks for being here. Let’s get started, shall we? First off we have a question for Joker. Anna asks, how come you didn’t like Nash in the beginning?

Joker: I liked him just fine.

Saint: *Huffs* You didn’t like him.

Joker: *Stares at Saint*

Saint: What? You were a dick to him in the beginning.

Joker: I was… concerned.

Saint: For me? *Smiles smugly at Joker*

Joker: *Drawls* Yes. Very. Because you’re an idiot with too big a heart.

Saint: That’s one way to tell me you love me.

Joker: *Blank stare* I… do?

Saint: Yes, you do.

Joker: *Raises brows, then takes a long sip of beer*

Saint: *Turns to Ana* Right. Next question.

Ana: Okaay, then. Julie wants to know how you guys tackle such a hectic work/life balance?

Saint: Without Nash, I’m not sure I’d be tackling it at all. At least not with the kids.

Joker: *Smiles cheekily* And the cat.

Saint: *Sighs* And the cat.

Ana: What about you, Joker?

Joker: I do think our partners have a big hand in keeping everything on track. The other Kings help, too. They understand because they’re family, too, and sometimes, one part of your family needs you more than the other. *Turns to look at Saint* I think I have it a little easier, though, what with Gabe being a King, too.

Saint: *Nods* Absolutely. He understands the Kings in a way Nash probably never will, though I’m actually happy about that. The more he knows, the more he’ll worry, and I don’t want him to ever worry or fear for me. I owe him the safety and security to never feel that way again.

Ana: Seems like you guys found the perfect partners.

Saint: *Snorts* No one’s perfect, but I’ll admit, we’re pretty damned good together and I love that man more than I ever thought I could love anyone.

Ana: *Raises questioning brow at Joker*

Joker: Yeah, no. Gabe’s perfect.

Saint: Aww.

Joker: Shut up.

Saint: Never. I enjoy the ‘in-love’ you too much. You’re all sweet and mushy.

Joker: *Cracks knuckles* I’ll show you sweet and mushy!

Ana: Next question!

Joker: *Crosses arms and sits back with his brows raised at Ana*

Ana: So, Saint. Speaking of in love. Did you see Gabe and Joker’s relationship coming?

Saint: I think the only one who didn’t see it coming was King and maybe Joker himself.

Joker: Just rub it in, why don’t you?

Saint: That’s what he said.

Joker: *Glares hard* Don’t make me hurt you.

Saint: *Bright smile*

Joker: *Murderous intent shining in his eyes*

Ana: Alright, next question. Joker, how did you become VP of the Kings?

Joker: *Turns and smiles* By being the best?

Saint: *Sputters out a laugh*

Joker: *Murderous intent returns* Do you want to die?

Ana: No killing during the interview, please.

Joker: *Signature smile spreads on his face*

Ana: Or maiming.

Joker: *Sits back with an audible sigh* How boring.

Saint: The answer to your question is that he became the VP because he is in fact the best at what he does.

Joker: Now he’s nice?

Saint: I’m always nice. Just ask Nash.

Joker: Riiight… ‘Cause he’s definitely unbiased.

Ana: Okay, last question. How did you two meet and what were your initial thoughts of each other?

Saint: We met when we were teenagers. High school wasn’t fun for either of us. At least not until we had each other. I remember the first time I saw him in the cafeteria. He looked like like a thug with his leather jacket and that permanent scowl on his face. I instantly knew I wanted to be his friend.

Joker: My first thought was that I liked his sister more.

Saint: *Flips Joker off* Liar.

Joker: *Shrugs* I didn’t want anything to do with him. I just wanted to be left alone, but he wouldn’t take the hint so I had to start swinging.

Saint: Don’t forget to mention that I beat your ass in that fight.

Joker: *Looks almost proud* You did.

Saint: I had to. Otherwise, you wouldn’t talk to me.

Joker: *Narrows eyes at Saint* Why did you want to talk to me so bad?

Saint: *Smiles softly* Because you needed someone in your corner and so did I.

Joker: And all you’ve done since is get me into trouble.

Saint: *Bumps their shoulders* You’ve loved every second of it.

Joker: You know damned well I have! It wouldn’t have been the same without you, man.

Saint: *Clinks beer bottle with Joker’s*

Ana: Okay, I think that’s it for today’s questions. Thank you for being here and for answering these questions. I hope you guys had fun.

Joker: *Shares look with Saint* It’s not really fun unless someone gets dead.

Ana: Aaand that’s my cue. Bye boys!
