What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a unique link used by an affiliate partner in an affiliate program. When a user on a website clicks on this unique link, it registers as a visit attributed to the affiliate partner.

An affiliate partner earns a commission when an affiliate link is clicked and the product is bought.

Why are you an affiliate?

I chose to sign up for Amazon’s affiliate program Amazon Associates because I realized I was linking to a lot of Amazon’s products. After starting my blog, I knew I would link to even more Amazon products. So why not earn a small commission while doing what I would do anyway?

I will say, however, that I will NOT be linking to products I don’t have or use myself. If you have any questions or concerns about this, you can send me a message.
